  We do not recommend planting anything within 18 inches of your outdoor heating and cooling unit. Air conditioners and heat pumps need open space to properly intake and exhaust air to operate at maximum efficiency. Without proper air circulation, your outdoor unit could become blocked and require service.

  The temperature that you set your thermostat at will change depending on the season and your personal preferences. During wintertime, most people program their thermostat between 68° and 72°.
